"In Fear Of A Flat Earth" was recorded between April and October 1993.
It was the first album release for The Ergot Derivative. Flat Earth explored a wide range of musical genres ranging from Rock, Psychedelic instrumentals, Taoist Gospels to progressive Pop/Rock songs. Reviews were mixed, ranging from huge accolades to some reviewers claiming it was far too eclectic during a time when many bands focused on a single musical style. One binding factor in The Ergot's song writing was a strong political and social commentary in the lyric writing that continued throughout the bands career. Flat Earth comes with six bonus tracks lifted from their first Vinyl EP and 2nd EP "The Elastic Tea Party.
